When does the RYDE schedule get released?
The schedule is released every Sunday at 5:00PM and extends from Monday through the following Monday. Classes fill up fast and are on a first come first served basis, so make sure you book your bike early.
What are the cancellation, late arrival, and no show policies?
In order to cancel a RYDE and avoid losing a credit, you must unreserve your class at least 8-hours prior to your scheduled class. You may cancel online or by calling the studio directly. If your class is canceled within the cancellation period, the credit will be returned to your account to be used at a future date. If you are a client with one of our Infinite Packages and you cancel late, you will be charge as “late cancel” fee of $10. If you “no show”, you will be charged $15.
If you are not checked in 2 minutes prior to class, your bike will be released. If you are running late, please call to let us know before the cutoff. We will hold reservations for up to 5 minutes after the start of class. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be permitted to enter the studio. We understand life gets crazy and we work very hard to accommodate all RYDErs, but if you arrive more than 5 minutes late or not at all, it will unfortunately result in the loss of your class credit.
What is the waitlist policy?
If a class is full, feel free to add yourself to the waitlist. If any spots open up, clients are enrolled from the waitlist on a first come, first served basis. You will be notified if you are enrolled via email. The same cancellation, late arrival, and no show policies apply. If you need to remove yourself from the waitlist, please do so 8-hours prior to the scheduled class in order to avoid losing a credit. Credits will be returned to your account if you do not make it off the waitlist for a particular class.
I purchased a package. When does it expire?
We keep it simple. All packages expire one year from the date of purchase.
What if I am a RYDE beginner?
RYDE is for all fitness levels and abilities. Our instructors push you to work hard during every RYDE, but you are always in control of the intensity of your workout. If you have never cycled before, we recommend grabbing a bike in the middle of the room, so you can see the instructor and follow the lead of the front row RYDErs. This will help you make your way up to the front of the room as your skills progress and you learn the ropes.
Are cycling shoes required?
Yes. Proper shoes provide a safe cycling experience on the bike and also help keep knees, hips and ankles aligned. Furthermore, cycling shoes help target proper muscle groups and maximize workout results. Our bikes are compatible with LOOK Delta and SPD cleats, but are NOT compatible with LOOK Keo. Feel free to bring your own shoes or rent a pair of our cycling shoes for $3.
Do you have lockers, showers, and changing rooms?
Our facility features premium lockers with keyless security locks to protect your valuables. In addition to changing rooms, we offer showers equipped with towels and quality products, leaving you refreshed and rejuvenated.
What should I wear?
If you have never been to RYDE, we recommend wearing a lightweight shirt and fitness bottoms. Fitness gear made of moisture wicking or performance material will help you stay dry. Whatever you choose, just make sure you are comfortable.
What should I bring?
We always provide the essentials like filtered water and complimentary towels. We also have Essentia Water available for purchase for $2. You will also want to bring your cycling shoes or rent a pair of ours for $3.
What time should I arrive for class?
Please arrive 15-minutes prior to your scheduled RYDE. This ensures you have plenty of time to change your clothes and shoes, set up your bike, and make some new friends. Make sure you check in at the front desk upon arrival.
Do you offer group RYDEs and private RYDEs?
Yes. A group RYDE is a great for birthdays, wedding parties, corporate team building events, and much more. Private RYDEs are encouraged for one-on-one instruction to maximize your workout. Contact us to schedule a Private RYDE by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
How many calories will I burn?
Calories burned depends on body weight and the intensity of effort during your RYDE. In a typical 45-minute class, you will burn an average of 300 to 700 calories. You will receive a summary of your workout (including estimated calorie count) via email after each class, provided you have accurately entered your age and weight in your online account. You can also keep track of your progress by logging into your online account and viewing your profile.
I noticed the bikes have consoles. How can I see my results?
Our myRYDE system will privately track your performance during each RYDE. Login to your RYDE online account to see your results and track your progress.
Is it safe to lift weights on a bike?
Yes, all free weight exercises are performed while maintaining proper biking form.
Should I cycle if I am pregnant?
Many pregnant women are able to cycle well into their pregnancy. However, please consult with your physician before engaging in indoor cycling classes.
Is there an age requirement?
In order to RYDE you must be at least 4’11” and at least 12 years old. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will be required to sign a waiver before your first RYDE.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. You may purchase a digital gift card on our website or request a physical gift card at our studio.
